2020 has been a hard year – emotionally – around the world. Here in Nova Scotia, it’s been especially hard; a lot of tragic events in a normally quiet and peaceful part of Canada.

I wrote this over a two month period – April-June – as a way to process and cope. I hope you’ll find some comfort and some strength in it.

When the smoke has cleared
And the dust has settled
And the Media have all gone home

And there's time to think
And time to grieve
But time won't heal your soul

You can fall
    fall
        just fall
            on me

When the day's are long
And your body - it aches
And your mind - it feels on fire

And it's hard to sleep
And hard to breath
And hard to still believe

You can fall
    fall
        just fall
            on me
